Spring Tuning Clinic and Practice Drills

Rusty Lhamon has generously offered to run on-the-water practice drills on Saturday afternoon, April 5th to help get everyone back into the racing mode.   He's arranged for a whaler (and a big megaphone). We plan on video taping some of the exercises for review and discussion after the session.  The rough schedule will be:

9 am - noon            Launch and Rig Help
10:30                      Rigging Discussion by Joe Burcar
12 noon                  Clubhouse Chalk Talk & Lunch
1:15 - 3:00 pm       Practice Drills
3:00 - 4:30 pm       Review video, discussion, drink beer

We need a critical mass of 4-5 boats for the exercises and discussion to be meaningful.  If you would like to participate, please RSVP to me or Kerry by Saturday, March 29.

Thistle 3955 Arrives at Qwest Field

With some Sudoku worthy thinking and fine off-the-water boat maneuvering, Thistle 3955 was retrieved from Marty's storage basement and delivered to Qwest field for the Seattle Boat Show.  She's one boat among 10 other CYC fleet boats making up the CYC One Design Sailing Exhibit for the show.  Thanks to Dave Casey, Doug Stumberger, and Jack Wisemore for the work setup effort.  We can still use some Thistle volunteer representation on each Friday of the show (Jan 25 and Feb 2).  Call or email me if you are interested - Jen Wisemore 425.444.0945 or jen@wisemore.info.
